A 12-year-old girl with severe acute slipped capital femoral epiphysis (a, b) : the femoral head (highlighted in yellow in the diagram) showed severe slippage (68°) relative to the femoral neck (in red). She underwent prompt reduction and screw fixation. Prophylactic contralateral pinning was also performed.
Radiographs 2 years later (c, d) show moderate remodeling of the femoral neck (yellow arrow).
