Dr. Manuele Lampasi is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon.

Born in Latina on March 10, 1976.
Graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna.
Member of Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna, where he holds the managerial position of head of Neuro-Orthopedics and introduced the Ponseti method for the treatment of congenital clubfoot.
Various experiences abroad in prestigious Pediatric Orthopedics and Neuro-Orthopedics centers (Lyon, Barcelona, Marseille, London, Basel).
At the age of just 40 years, he was appointed Head of Pediatric Orthopedics and Pediatric Neuro-Orthopedics at the Anna Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence.
In 2020 he founded the OrtoPediatria group, with which he carried out intense surgical and outpatient, training and dissemination activities
In 2024 he founded OrthoChildren Center, an International Center for the treatment of congenital and acquired deformities in Pediatric Orthopedics.

Research and study activities

Author of numerous articles in international journals on various topics (clubfoot, arthrogryposis, knee deformities, hip dislocation, fractures, limb lengthening, orthopedic problems in Down syndrome and neurofibromatosis, benign bone tumors, congenital pseudoarhtosis of the leg, etc.)
Only Italian member recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute
Among the very few members certified by the International Association for the treatment of Congenital Clubfoot with the Ponseti method .
Member of the Italian (SITOP) and European (EPOS) Society of Pediatric Orthopedics.

Pathologies treated, fields of specialization in pediatric orthopedics

Specialized in the treatment of orthopedic problems related to neurological pathologies (cerebral palsy, peripheral neuropathies, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, etc.) and complex deformities (limb lengthening, correction of limb and foot deformities, hip dislocation, etc.);
he deals with the treatment of all pediatric orthopedic pathologies (flat feet, knock knees, scoliosis, limb discrepancy, Perthes disease, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, hypoplasia, toe walking, skeletal dysplasia, traumatology of the upper and lower limbs, etc.).

He has performed over 2,500 surgical procedures as a primary surgeon, ranging from low-complexity procedures (flat foot, etc.) to high-complexity procedures (complex hip reconstructions in neuro-orthopedics, reconstructions of congenital hip dislocations, correction of complex deformities using a hexapodal external fixator, orthopedic trauma procedures, etc.)
