First Drive Rail external fixator with hinge on the knee in Italy

In recent months, the OrthoChildren Team (Drs. M. Lampasi and G. Lucchesi) applied, for the first time in Italy, a Drive Rail external fixator (Orthopediatrics) with a hinge on the knee.

The fixator was used for a complex limb reconstruction case for a neglected knee dislocation, which had previously undergone repeated surgeries at other centers without success. Thanks to the fixator, the patient was able to undergo intensive rehabilitation of the limb at Sol et Salus in Rimini.
