Admission procedures
Surgical procedures are performed, following the evaluation of our doctors (in person or teleconsultation):
- by the orthopaedic surgeons (dr M. Lampasi, dr G. Lucchesi) of our Team
- in private practice (for patients not covered by the Italian healthcare system*)
- Where? in one of our surgical locations: the location is agreed with the families, considering clinical aspects (type of intervention, possible need for intensive rehabilitation, etc.) and the family’s preferences
- When? The family can express a preference on the timing of the intervention, based on possible availability

Cost estimate and organization of hospitalization
- Cost estimate: to request a quote, fill out the form or send a request to info@orthochildren.org
- the secretariat of OrthoChildren Center prepares (together with the hospitalisation office of the selected surgical location) a quote (which includes costs for operating room, instruments, medical team, surgical admission and possible rehabilitation admission)
- if the estimate is accepted by the family, the hospitalization office contacts the families and organizes the hospitalization in the chosen period
- Support to the family: the OrthoChildren secretariat is available to give support for the practical organization of stay in Italy: suggestions on transfers, accommodation, etc
