Congenital pseudoarthrosis of the clavicle
Congenital pseudarthrosis of the clavicle is a very rare congenital anomaly characterized by a failure of fusion of the medial and lateral ossification centers of the clavicle.
The malformed clavicle appears to be interrupted in its central portion and the bone divided into two portions, one lateral and the other medial.

Treatment of congenital clavicle nonunion should be evaluated by centers with specific experience, such as OrthoChildren Center, and may include:
• simple follow up control of the deformity.
• surgical interventions in cases with functional disorders or limitations, and in patients with a very evident cosmetic defect.
